Talk of the Town travel specialist Pollyanna Blanco wears many hats. She’s an inspired soul, an author, a Samhara Reiki practitioner, an art educator, a dancer, and a multidimensional muse. She’s also an expert Chakradance facilitator. Her specialty is the Women’s Chakradance Retreat, in sunny Cozumel, Mexico where you can recharge yourself by dancing your heart out.
“Movement is medicine,” Pollyanna states in her latest video. “Life is constantly moving, we are constantly in motion, even when we appear to be still, our physical body has inner processes that are in constant motion. Movement is medicine because it allows us to tap into our feelings, emotions, and memories and hear what they have to say. This soul medicine of awareness moves through us in a way that allows us to digest and process them by just being with them, relaxing the head’s resistance to them, and being more fully in the present moment. The body is the subconscious mind. When we journey within through movement we deepen the intimate relationship with ourselves, nurturing greater self-acceptance and love which frees us to just be ourselves. Sharing a few minutes of my own movement practice early one morning. Just woke up and followed the creative impulse to record myself waking up with movement totally impromptu in the hopes that it will inspire you too. For many years I performed as a ballroom dancer with full make-up, hair, costuming, and complex routines. I loved that experience and I’m grateful for it. At the same time, I am also grateful for practicing dance just for myself, free from needing to perform or win approval – and that being said, I finally feel enough love and self-acceptance to share this free dancing moment with you, without reserve, make-up free, sleepy eyes, technique-free and all. That is the power of Chakradance and how it has transformed me on my creative journey and how it can transform you as well too on yours!”
