DAY 1: Arrive in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, we will be assisted through Customs and Immigration and then transferred to our hotel.
DAY 2: Full Day Tour To Pyramids
This morning we visit the magnificent Great Pyramids of Giza and their guardian Sphinx. Following lunch, we spend the afternoon at Memphis — the first capital of the ancient kingdom, see the great Alabaster Sphinx, the colossal granite statue of Ramses II, then drive to Sakkara to see the step pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest pyramid in the world dating from 2,700 BC. We will stay overnight at our hotel.
DAY 3: Cairo
Today we will visit the Egyptian Museum which houses the richest collection of antiquities ever discovered, including the fabulous burial treasures of King Tutankhamon. After lunch we will visit Islamic Cairo and experience another period of Egypt’s history dating from 640 AD. We will then visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din with its two great mosques and a panoramic view of the city. We will also visit the colourful Khan El Khalili Bazaar. We’ll be staying overnight at our hotel.
DAY4: Luxor (Cruise)
This morning we will be transferred to the Cairo Airport for our flight to Luxor where we will be escorted to embark on the Nile cruise ship, our floating hotel, for the next 5 days. This afternoon we will visit the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak, which has no equal among the national shrines of Egypt. We will stay overnight in Luxor.
DAY 5: Esna/Edfo (Cruise)
Today we will explore the wondrous Valleys of the Kings and Queens, the Necropolis of Thebes, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile. This afternoon we will sail down the Nile to Edfo where we will spend the night.
DAY 6: Edfo/Komombo (Cruise)
This morning we will visit the Temple of Horus, the Falcon God, then continue sailing to Komombo to visit the temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Kamombo’s Ptolemaic Temple offers beautiful murals and an unforgettable view of the river Nile. Tonight we enjoy a special costume party featuring the Native Egyptian and the Pharaonic styles. We will stay overnight in Komombo.
DAY 7: Aswan (Cruise)
Today we will cruise to Aswan to High Dam with its huge lake and the magnificent Temple of Philae. In the afternoon we will view the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Elephantine Islands by “Felucca”, a traditional Nile sailing boat. We will stay overnight in Aswan.
DAY 8: Aswan/Cairo
Today we’ll transferred to Aswan Airport to our flight back to Cairo.
DAY 9: Depart Cairo
Today we will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for our flight back home (B).
